So after I met Alan tonight, which was a total lucky shot since I didn’t get a wrist band for a signing, I went back over to watch Fall Out Boy with Brianna. My mom stayed over by where Of Mice & Men just in case and ended up having a three minute conversation with Tino from behind the gate. After she talked to Tino, she texted me and told me to run over to where they had played. I stood there and we saw Tino and my mom pointed and yelled “Tino, she’s here!” and Tino said “Hey Great!” And a couple of minutes after that, Austin came over to us and we talked for about ten minutes while he signed my ticket. He took my phone and we got a picture through the fence, and then he took pictures of himself on my phone. after he gave my phone back, I told him how today I’m a month and three weeks clean and I owed it to them and he told me that I was the one who pushed myself to do better and that they were there to support me and cheer me on. I began to cry on my moms shoulder and then, being the awkward person I am, asked if I could hug him through the fence. He told me there was an opening in the gate where the other couple people were waiting and to sneak past them and through the opening. I got through and he hugged me immediately, my mom was taking pictures (like the two above) and he hugged me so tight and whispered in my ear that he loves me and wants me to promise that I won’t give up and to go for a hundred days clean and eventually make it permanent, i was crying a lot on his shoulder. After I promised him, he told me that he’s been in the position I was in and told me that everything gets better and when I’m older, ill look back at how I was sad and just be like “Oh, that’s why I was sad?” Before I left he pulled me into another tight hug and whispered again how much he loves me and how important I am, then he hugged my mom and thanked her and then hugged the both of us and helped us get out of the gate and wished us a good weekend. This was about thirty minutes and it was the best thirty minutes of my life and I’m so glad to say that Austin is one of my biggest role models.
